Her focus was on public health surveillance of West Nile virus, Lyme disease and rabies. Dr. Bonemer loves interacting with both patients and their owners and she thoroughly enjoys the atmosphere and practice philosophy of the Veterinary Medical Center. Dr. Bonemer now dedicates her work exclusively to small animal practice. She is currently available at the clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. When not at the clinic, Dr. Bonemer is a very involved with her 2 1/2 and 5 year-old sons.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband, her German Shorthair Pointer mix, and her 3 cats which we all rescued from various shelters or abandoned. Dr. Bonemer is an avid MSU Spartan fan, practices yoga regularly, and enjoys beaded jewelry making.

Dr. Anne Fitzgerald graduated from the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.  She enjoyed an adventurous 2 years in mixed animal practice in Northern New Hampshire and 3 years of companion animal practice in Pennsylvania.  Dr. Fitzgerald then served for 5 years as University Veterinarian at Purdue University, and 15 years as a clinical veterinarian and researcher at Pfizer in Ann Arbor.  There she assisted in the development of human medicines including Lipitor, Lyrica, and drugs for infections, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Fitzgerald has specialized expertise with rodents, rabbits, and ferrets ("pocket pets").  She loves getting to know people and their animals and was truly delighted to return to private veterinary practice.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and "Teddy" the family's Welsh Corgi dog.  She is an enthusiastic reader and loves her home state of Michigan. She has been employed at Veterinary Medical Center for approximately 5 years. Amber has 3 dogs, one cat and one rabbit. In her spare time she and her husband enjoy traveling up North and spending time with family and of course, their pets.

Welcome back Wendy! In August, Wendy retured to her veterinary assistant/office assistant duties after taking a year off.  In her time away, she worked as a sales coordinator but found she missed her "furry friends" and is now back full-time at VMC.  Wendy has worked at Veterinary Medical Center for over 6 years.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her 3 dogs and 1 cat going horseback riding and golfing. We are pleased to have Wendy back as part of the VMC staff!
